Facing the tables, a walkway is installed in the centre of the pool, leading to the impressive stage, which will be graced this summer by the dynamic singer- songwriter Mariah Carey, and which over the years has hosted starsof the calibre of Kylie Minogue,
the quintessential pop singer and producer of hugely successful dance tracks; and Ricky Martin, the star of Latin sounds, whose charismatic presence always guarantees a spectacular show. There have also been undisputed idols of Italian music such as Andrea Bocelli, the much-loved tenor with a career spanning more than two decades at the summit of Italian song tradition, and Laura Pausini, the best- known Italian female singer on the global stage and winner of some of the world’s most prestigious music awards. Other prominent performers to tread the stage have included Robbie Williams, Mika, Elton John, Jamiroquai, John Newman, Enrique Iglesias, Black Eyed Peas and, last year – as part of the hotel’s 60th anniversary celebrations – Imagine Dragons. On 13 August this year it’s the turn of Mariah Carey, the American singer, actress and record producer who has sold over 200 million albums, as well as winning 5 Grammy Awards, 18 World Music Awards and 89 nominations for the Billboard Music Awards, 31 of which she has won. Her incredible vocal range has made her one of the most talented and best-loved artists of all time, and this summer she’s ready to cast her spell on guests at Hotel Cala di Volpe. Let the show begin!
