Cala Petra Ruja, the arch-shaped beach with wild charm
How to reach it and all the services it offers
Cala Petra Ruja is one of the most treasured beaches on the northeastern coast of Sardinia, embodying the wild beauty of the area combined with the most exclusive amenities. Located in Arzachena, about a twenty-minute drive from Porto Cervo, this crescent-shaped beach features pinkish sand and the crystal clear waters of a turquoise sea, creating a breathtaking natural spectacle.
Perfect for snorkelers, Cala Petra Ruja offers an underwater world full of life and color. But it is also a destination of choice for those who appreciate the Mediterranean vegetation: the beach is known locally as the Junk Race, a tribute to the dense thicket of native plants that frames it, making it an enchanting place for those who love to immerse themselves in unspoiled nature. Thanks to its shallow waters, Cala Petra Ruja is also ideal for families with children, who can play safely in the water here. For those who wish to explore the sea from different angles, canoes, kayaks and rubber dinghies are available for rent, allowing them to experience the area from a unique vantage point.
Services of Cala Petra Ruja
The beach is equipped with rental services for beach equipment and boats, bars and restaurants where you can enjoy typical Gallura delicacies, all surrounded by a dreamlike landscape.
