Liscia Renè, striking and lonely cove where time seems to stand still
All the information you need to experience the beauty of this beach
While everything around is moving at a faster speed and the holiday movida is also moving to the beaches that abound with services and clubs, there is a corner where time passes slowly, the sound of the wind on the vegetation is perfectly perceptible and the cobalt blue color of the water invades the eyes: it is the beach of Liscia Renè or Liscia Rena, a very picturesque and lonely little cove located in the famous Liscia di Vacca resort.
That time has almost stood still here you can tell as soon as you look out, and Renè Podbielski, one of the founders of the Costa Smeralda Consortium, to which it owes its name, had also understood it well. Podbielski, in fact built his seaside villa after acquiring the surrounding land and spent much of his free time here.
The beach acquires even more charm on days when the Mistral blows, even though it is very exposed to this wind. But it is precisely Sardinia's typical wind that constantly changes its landscape, year after year, and day after day makes its water colors change, rippling or placid depending on its presence. The sandy shore is made of fine sand with pinkish colors, the result of the crumbling of Gallura granites, the undisputed protagonists of the seabed, which here is low and pebbly for a short stretch, then later becomes deep and rocky. Many imposing stones surface at the water's surface, giving the landscape extra touches of beauty.
Thanks to these rocks and the jagged seabed, the beach of Liscia Renè is particularly suitable for snorkeling lovers and all those who wish to spend their days at the sea in total relaxation. In fact, it is not too crowded and the boats of the yachtsmen who choose to drop anchor here in the roadstead, are in small numbers, without ever disturbing its quietness made of nature and meditation. In addition, this little gem of the Emerald Coast, like all of its beaches, is protected and the use of single-use plastics, littering, fishing for protected species and the removal of sand, pebbles, stones and shells from the shoreline is prohibited, to leave this cove exactly as nature made it.
