An event hosted in the Cervo Conference Center in Porto Cervo, between a focus on the territory and an international perspective. Then we get to the heart of the even with the stands open to the general public of enthusiasts.

Porto Cervo Wine & Food Festival

“Smeralda Holding and Marriott International continue their work to support the territory and the entire regional and national food and wine sector – explains Franco Mulas, Area Manager Costa Smeralda®. Like other prominent regional destinations, the Porto Cervo area aims to be an ambassador and promoter in Italy and worldwide of the excellence of the food and wines produced in Sardinia. The Porto Cervo Wine & Food Festival is an international showcase that offers its exhibitors unique opportunities for visibility, both abroad and in the most prestigious hotels, restaurants and bars in the area, which serve more than 500 thousand covers to customers from the most varied geographical areas worldwide”.

This year’s PCWFF presents a great innovation - operators from the yachting industry will be present, with the aim of bringing together exhibitors and those in the business of yacht provisioning and supplies, so as to maximize opportunities in an industry such as yachting, which has recorded considerable growth in recent years. The Costa Smeralda, in fact, represents the leading destination in the Mediterranean for super and mega yachts. The latest PCWFF therefore welcomes a great economic movement that brings the excellence of local food and wine on board exclusive places of great value on the market.

Compared to last year, the presence of spirit-making companies has also grown, a figure indicative of the trend in a part of the market which involves an increasingly wider and more heterogeneous audience. During the event the PCWFF Award is assigned following a tasting by experts. The categories will be: regional wines (red, white, rosé and sparkling) and national wines (red, white, rosé and sparkling). Award-winning wines receive the PCWFF Seal to be applied to all bottles. Not only that, wines awarded the PCWFF Seal, after receiving the PCWFF Award, will become part of the Taste of Sardinia, the initiative through which Marriott Costa Smeralda presents Italian excellence in the world.
