The boutiques and big brands of Porto Cervo

From classic to streetwear, from jewellery to children's wear: the most exclusive addresses to get to know

To say Porto Cervo, is to bring to the listener's mind the luxury, elegance, sophistication and exclusivity of this location nestled in the heart of the Costa Smeralda, where the beauty of the landscape is matched by the many boutiques that dot its promenade. It is here, between the Piazza del Principe, the famous Piazzetta del Cervo, its Sottopiazza, the Waterfront and the Promenade du Port, that one can lose oneself in the shopping streets, just like in those of the great European capitals.

Waterfront Costa Smeralda

The best brands of the world firmament, not a single one excluded, have their boutiques in Porto Cervo. Some are historic emerald signatures, staples of the fashionistas who frequent the Costa, and then there are numerous big names that have arrived over the years. Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Dior, and then Gucci, Prada and Miu Miu, Valentino, Versace, Roberto Cavalli, Dolce & Gabbana, Pinko, Hogan and Tod's: they are all present in Porto Cervo, with shops whose collections are very often embroidered on the Costa Smeralda. Unobtainable elsewhere, some garments offered here cannot be purchased in the brand's other shops. This makes shopping in Porto Cervo even more unique.

Under the famous portico, it is the Italian brands of Brunelleschi Cucinelli and Loro Piana that speak of a refined elegance and luxury, never shouted and ostentatious, but refined in the fabrics and exclusively tailored cuts of the garments. There is no lack of jewellery from a thousand and one nights proposed by Damiani and Bulgari. Continuing the shopping stroll and descending just one floor down the iconic spiral staircase, one arrives in the Sottopiazza, a magical location where the sinuous arches merge with the panorama just a few metres from Porto Cervo's small beach.

With its always manicured and flowering flower beds and juniper trees, shopping in the Sottopiazza is a real treat. Here you will find a small MC2 Saint Barth shop, Esmeralda Boutique with its sought-after brands ranging from Etro to Alberta Ferretti, via Moschino Couture and Borsalino. The Sottopiazza is also home to the Ottica Angius and two Omai boutiques, one with the women's collection designed for Porto Cervo and the other entirely dedicated to the children's collection, with names such as Missoni, Kenzo, Twin Set and Balmain.

But that's not all. Because continuing along Porto Cervo's paths through the greenery, past the little bridge, you reach the Promenade on Port overlooking the Marina dotted with moored yachts.

Along the waterfront is the Waterfront, a charming lounge designed by architect Gio Pagani for Smeralda Holding. Synonymous with excellence and absolute style, it is home to numerous venues, including the Nikki Beach POP-Up Lounge and Bar and the Riva Lounge, where one can enjoy pleasant aperitifs or spend the after-dinner hours accompanied by the sound of the sea and the lights on the coast. It is home to the information point of Arzachena Turismo and Assouline, the luxury brand dedicated to culture, together with the Deodato Arte gallery.

And for those who want to invest in yachts, Ferretti Groupe has a corner here, as does Riva Boutique. Then there is the Givenchy shop, the Technogym shop and the Kering Eyewer shop. The Promenade is the place for shopping, but a place where art and culture merge with boutiques. Off White, Big Soup, Dope Factory, Guarino, Ismeralda, La RevĂȘche, MC2 Saint Bath and North Beachwear, Paul Taylor, Qlhype, Carter&White, Bhagavan, Apres Ski, Dea Sandals: these are the brands and boutiques that can be found on the Promenade, surrounded by art and flair. There is no shortage of jewellery shops such as Nautilus Watches, Stefanini Jewellery and Gioielleria Vintage, where one can buy truly sophisticated and unique pieces.

In Porto Cervo, everything smells of salt, sea and glamour.
