Patrick Mouratoglou has chosen the courts of Porto Cervo for his first Center in Italy
The incredible Jannik Sinner now number one in the world and a new generation of great Italian tennis pros who grew up with the talented South Tyrol player have made the racquet - along with its sibling, the padel - the sport of the moment in Italy. A boom in registrations for tennis clubs and exponential growth in TV audiences make this a phenomenon that’s not just about the sport, but the lifestyle too. Hotel Cala di Volpe in Porto Cervo remains an exceptional tennis destination as it confirms its partnership for the 2024 season with Patrick Mouratoglou, one of the most esteemed and influential coaches of the century. The founder and CEO of the Mouratoglou Academy, one of the world’s leading tennis academies, Patrick Mouratoglou chose the courts at Hotel Cala di Volpe for his first Italian Mouratoglou tennis camp, the fourth in the world. “Sardinia in general and Porto Cervo in particular are an extraordinary destination for both residents and visitors, thanks to their unique infrastructure, geographical position and high-class facilities”, Patrick Mouratoglou explains. “I’m enthusiastic about bringing my brand to Hotel Cala di Volpe, where a new audience will be able to learn about the Mouratoglou method. When I was offered the opportunity to create a very special tennis experience, I knew this would be an extraordinary project”. The Mouratoglou Tennis Center Costa Smeralda in Sardinia has opened its doors, with state-of-the-art facilities including four tennis courts and two padel courts for players of all ages and levels, as well as a range of bespoke programmes with individual and group lessons, sessions for children and families on holiday, plus a rolling programme of social events.
